Buena Vista – Irish-style non-alcoholic coffee

Buena Vista Irish Coffee

Could a new coffee possibly share anything with Chopin's Revolutionary Etude? Well, yes—both are Polish compositions conquering the world! While Frédéric composed a piano masterpiece back in 1831, nearly 200 years later his compatriots from company Segura decided to revolutionize… your cup of coffee. Irish Coffee—that classic born in the 1940s—blended coffee, whiskey, sugar, and cream to warm up the soul and body in difficult moments.

The Story of Irish Coffee

The story of Irish Coffee is practically a movie script: It all started with an unlucky journey and… a very cold port. In 1943, at Ireland's Foynes (then a seaplane base), passengers returned to earth after an exhausting, wet flight across the Atlantic—freezing and irritated. Joe Sheridan, the quick-thinking chef at the airport bar, decided to warm them up with a little… improvisation. He added Irish whiskey, sugar, and a dollop of cream to hot coffee. When one traveler asked if it was Brazilian coffee, Joe casually replied:

"No, it's Irish coffee!"

Just like that, with one dry remark, a legendary drink was born.

But that's not the end!

In 1952, journalist Stanton Delaplane tasted it at Shannon Airport and, utterly charmed by its flavor and effect, brought the recipe back to the States. At San Francisco's famous Buena Vista bar, along with owner Jack Koeppler, they tried to recreate the magical brew. After a series of experiments (and not a few whiskeys), they perfected the method: lightly whipped cream poured over the back of a spoon so it floats pristine and white on top. And so Irish coffee conquered America—from a chance "rescue" on the Irish coast to a cult favorite in a California bar, where they still serve hundreds daily… except during those monthly breaks known as "Dry January" or "Sober October."

The Non-Alcoholic Revolution

Now, in this age of health consciousness, you can make a different choice to experience that magic.

Non-Alcoholic Cold Irish Coffee is a brilliant blend—refreshing, aromatic, and completely safe for drivers, moms-to-be, stressed-out students before exams, or accountants facing balance sheets. This new coffee offers proven health benefits and no less caffeine than a "bull's kick." A flavor revolution? No—it's a barista's revolutionary etude: no drama, no whiskey regrets, none of the longing for the original.

This alcohol-free version is a true masterpiece. No foam? Add your own! But it comes with deep roasted coffee aroma and a hint of oak-barrel-aged whisky, paired with the delicate sharpness and lightly burning taste of double-distilled ethanol-free spirit. Served in classic pub mugs with thick bases and handles (probably for self-defense purposes), just one glass will refresh your mind, energize your body, and even help slim your figure.

Worth a try? Absolutely.

Raise your mug to taste—without the spirits!

Sláinte!
